All students wanting to be apart of the VanDance competitive team are welcome! No auditions required.

What classes must I do to compete?

We require students to take a minimum of 2 ballet classes a week to ensure proper technique, training and strength. Any classes after these are completely up to the families.

What is the commitment?

Our studio attends 3-4 festivals between March-May as a competitive team. Usually a couple local Lethbridge festivals, Calgary and one we travel to like Moose Jaw or Kelowna.

In order for teachers and students to feel confident, all students must be committed to their team. Attendance while being a competitive dancer is essential.

What costs are involved in competitive dance?

Costs in competitive dance include competition entry fees, extra rehearsals at the studio and theatre and costume rental fees.
